Artist Statement

I consider myself to be an explorer, not a creator. When engaging with sound as composition, my process involves building tools that dissect and reconstruct recordings, finding hidden nuances to magnify and extrapolate into larger (or smaller) scales. Perspective is malleable, and my work aims to reflect that.

I often find myself living in a world of extremes, things and ideas that strongly juxtapose each other. Acoustic vs. Digital, Rational vs. Empirical, Grief vs. Joy, Left vs. Right. I find that this is a product of the time and place in which I’m living, and my identity as a gay man in this space. My music is way I find solace in the noise.
